What the petition asks
Ask the UK coroner (or whoever is responsible for investigating causes of UK deaths and UK death trends) to identify and publicise the main cause of the non-covid excess deaths that have occurred in weeks 15 through to week 32 in 2022.
According to the ONS, registered deaths in England and Wales have been above average for most of the last 3 months and have been higher for 12 of the last 14 weeks than any of the previous 7 years.
In the first 30 weeks of 2022 we have seen registered deaths more than 10% above average among those aged 10-14, 30-34, 35-39, 55-59, 60-64 and 75-79.
Since week 15 deaths above average accelerated. This is not due to deaths where Covid is mentioned on the death certificate.

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. ONS already publish data on cause of death. You can find out more here

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
