What the petition asks
Deaths, assaults and sexual harassment has been seen across the UK by bouncers who abuse their position of authority. Currently, licences can still be given to those who have committed violent and sexual offences. A culture of complacency has allowed this to go on for too long.
To reduce the number of deaths, assaults and sexual attacks door staff should be required to wear body cameras and be can be assessed regularly based on their interactions and given training when needed.
In the event of a criminal offence, both door staff and customer can have adequate evidence to help with the case. The cameras will deter door staff from creating hostile environments, talking inappropriately to women and will increase the level of safety within the establishment.
