set up nets on the goalposts in all recreation grounds around South Wales

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

to consider buying affordable netting for goalposts in South Wales
Anybody who plays football or whatever game they use the goalposts for are either losing their balls in the road or having to run pretty far in order to fetch their balls back however installing nets would prevent this problem and make these parts of the park way more enjoyable not only for children but for people that have a passion for sports like football

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions about things the UK Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about sporting facilities in Wales are a matter for the relevant local authority or sports facility, not the UK Government or Parliament. Funding for local authorities in Wales is a matter for the Welsh Government and Welsh Parliament, not the UK Government or Parliament.

You could raise your issue with a local councillor who represents you. You can find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them, by entering your post code here: https://www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors

The Welsh Parliament has its own Petitions Committee. If you'd like to send your petition to the Welsh Parliament, you can find out more here: https://petitions.senedd.wales/
