Make Maths and English a Btech subject!

Rejected 15 signatures

What the petition asks

Make maths and English a Btech subject so people with dyslexia and poverty backgrounds have a chance of getting a qualification so they can go to university!!

Many people fail functional skills and GCSE, through no fault of their own, simply not being able to retain information!
I would like this to change to help people who have had a poor upbringing or learning difficulties and are stuck on universal credit because they cannot get the job they want due to poor education! Having to remember pye isn't useful in most jobs! People want to go forward but are stuck because they cannot retain bidmas or fractions!!

To conclude
A pass, merit, distinction in form of B tech would benefit so may people in the UK!

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

The Government is responsible for the national curriculum, which sets out what schools have to teach students up to Key Stage 4, but decisions about what courses to offer are a matter for individual schools, not the Government or Parliament.
