Make sanitary/menstrual products free

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Sanitary products to be covered by the NHS. Get rid of pink tax.
Menstrual products are seen as a ‘luxury’ item but are a necessity for most women or individuals who experience menstruation. They are an integral part of female health and hygiene yet a surprising amount of people struggle to afford them and are forced to go without.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

VAT on women’s sanitary products was abolished last year: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/tampon-tax-abolished-from-today
