Abolish Standing Energy Charges
Rejected
14 signatures
What the petition asks
Abolish the Standing Energy Charge for all UK residences. These charges apply 365 days a year, regardless of energy supplied.
Current standing charges for energy vary by region but can cost on average each household £200+ a year. This remains even if no energy is supplied. This is appears unjust and it’s removal would provide many families additional relief from increasing costs.
