To exempt all care residences from energy price increases

What the petition asks
If the Government were to remove the financial burden and consequent worry of energy price increases from all those requiring care, regardless of where they access that care, it would be a significant indicator that the nation’s leaders are genuinely concerned for society’s vulnerable people.
The pandemic united people across the country in a shared endeavour to keep our respective communities safe. One action was to remain at home. Those same communities feel threatened further by financial hardship - will they stay indoors this time, or might they take their frustrations and fears onto the streets?
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. We could accept a petition calling for the Government to extend the energy price cap to care residences, if that's something you'd like to see happen.
