Petition · past parliament

Extend British Summer Time to save the inreased usage of energy .

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

Domestic energy and Business energy costs increase during darker months because of the shorter daylight hours, by extending BST this problem could be reduced.
Only parliament can bring about this change of law.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

It's not clear if you want the clocks to change back to GMT later than they currently do, or not at all. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
