Make travel on public transport for children and young people free

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

Make transport for children and young people free to help support their education
Children and young people shouldn't have to pay to access their education. Many families are not in a position to be spending hundreds of pounds each year to help their children get to school/college. Education is the biggest part of a person's life and many are put off as they can't afford the travel costs. Manchester offers reduced travel for students, £10 our pass scheme for 16-18 yr olds.
Why should children and young people have to risk furthering their education due to financial pressure.
