What the petition asks
To create a new Bank Holiday, “Queen Elizabeth II Day”, to commemorate the remarkable reign of the late Queen Elizabeth II, who ruled between 6 February 1952 and 8 September 2022: notably, longer than any other Monarch in British history.
Such a day could be created on the late Queen’s birthday (21 April), Accession (6 February), Coronation (2 June) or death (8 September).
