Raise the personal income tax allowance instead of cutting taxes

Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

Help the people on the lower incomes take home more if their hard earned money
The tax cuts only help the people higher up the scale, the government should be starting from the lower paid it's them who are struggling with the cost of living not the people on salaries above £50,000 per year.

By increasing the personal allowance this will start helping people on the lower incomes by freeing up more money to help with the cost of living.

This would also boost the economy as more people will want to work to earn more and will spend more.
