What the petition asks

To change the law, or pass legislation which makes it a presumption in law that parental care will be shared 50/50 in separation cases, unless impractical or evidenced risk of harm exists Also to make parental alienation a criminal offence under domestic abuse or child abuse legislation.
Survey of 1,513 people revealed PA an issue for 79%.
80% resulted in health concerns including poor mental health
21% lost a job
8% sold their home to pay legal fees
55% experienced financial insecurity
69% applied/attended court, 42% multiple occasions
58% reported breaches of orders 34% reported multiple breaches
Mediation, 70% had contact with child in last year, versus 69% sorting things informally.
This creates cost and time burdens on courts, healthcare, welfare systems and causes harm
