Review parking charges, restrictions

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Lower parking charges.Pay for parking to operate on all bay types 08:00 - 18:00 plus permit/residence parking for local residence
Fairer parking fines.Disabled badge rules to be the same across borough. Cheaper congestion charge.
Discount entitlement or special permits for traidsmen, couriers ect
Parking charges are unfair and extortionate. It needs to be easier to park as there not enough pay-for-parking bays. if every bay was still able to be parked in by permit owners and pay and displays it would be fairer for those who 'need' to park like tradesmen and carers. Also the congestion is extortionate and unfair to cost more than the minimum wage. Disabled badge rules should also be the same within every borough to create a fair and easy to use system.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Decisions about prices for parking in private car parks and council owned carparks are a matter for the operators and each local authority, not the Government or Parliament.

As a result it is not possible for the Government or Parliament to take the action you have requested.
