CAROLUS III REX: Petition to Restore Full Latin Titles to the English Coinage.
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
The Royal Mint announced on 29 September designs for the new King's specie. They have been met with concern from coin collectors and Royal historians alike. The use of CHARLES III as opposed to CAROLUS III eviscerates 900 years of Britis numismatic tradition and add pig latin to the national coinage
Restore the natural precedent of numismatic tradition. We are Caroleans! CAROLUS III REX DEI GRATIA FID DEF
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Coins are manufactured and issued by the Royal Mint, not the UK Government or Parliament.
