Petition · past parliament
Scrap the 2 death rule.
Rejected
14 signatures
What the petition asks
Scrap the ruling that states 2 deaths must occur on a road before any traffic calming or safety measures are put in place.
It will save lives and 2 deaths should not be an excuse.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Decision on where to construct or implement traffic calming measures are a matter for each local authority, and is not a decision for the Government or Parliament.
