Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

Over rule the London Mayor as he has refused.
The Queen ruled for 70 years and within those 70 years she helped nations and so many people and to honour this great lady she should have a statue to show London and the world that we honour her.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We know many people have been deeply affected by the sad passing of Her late Majesty The Queen.

However, we can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise.

Decisions about what is displayed on Trafalgar Square is a matter for the Mayor of London and London Assembly, not the Government or House of Commons.
