Make free school meals students eligible to purchase more food cost-free.

What the petition asks
Allow students to take more food at lunch free of cost as that may be their only meal and the embarrassment of putting back what they cannot afford may affect their outlook towards school.
Students do not have the capability to reach their full potential without appropriate nourishment. They may just be a student at the moment but someday they will be the doctor operating on your child, or the financial advisor that will help you retire before you turn 50. My point being that investing in us is an investment in our economy and community.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. It's not clear if you want the Government to require schools to provide additional food to students eligible for free school meals, or do something else.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
