Ask the UK public to sign my petition for a People's Energy Price Cap, PEPC.

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

I propose a people’s energy price cap (PEPC).

OFGEM should be sacked for their total incompetence, costing UK potentially £ billions that Liz Truss has not mentioned and accepts their very poor judgement.
I propose all Direct Debit paying customers cancel their “licence to steal Direct Debits” to the energy suppliers, like I have, and when reminded of their bill, set up a Standing Order.

This is based on the pre-hike price rise of January 2022 plus 10%. This will ensure supplies will not be cut off and I will undertake the challenge in the High Court on behalf of all of you who follow my lead.

It is very likely a sensible Judge will find in my favour and I will set the PEPC that the energy suppliers will have to follow.

The likely success depends on the numbers following my proposal.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned about energy prices, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
