consider appropriateness of heavily subsidised meals and drinks for MPs

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

To reduce the amount spent in meals provided at Houses if Parliament and to withdraw the high subsidies that apply. Remove all subsidies on alcoholic drinks etc
It is a highly inappropriate benefit, especially considering the current financial pressures on all people in the UK. It is also highly unfair in comparison to restrictions on school meals provision, work place canteens for nhs etc.
In relation to the workplace it is also in appropriate for alcohol to be served especially at reduced prices.
