Restart reconstruction surgery for cancer patients who are in remission
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
I would like the hospital to be able to start reconstruction operations on cancer patients.
I had cancer in 2019 and iam still waiting on my operation. It was cancelled 2 years ago. It is not good for my mental health and I struggle getting bras and clothes to fit
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We are sorry to hear about your experience, but we can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise.
Decisions on the scheduling of reconstructive surgery is one for individual NHS trusts and not the UK Government and Parliament.
We could accept a petition calling for the Government to provide specific funding to the NHS to increase access to reconstructive surgery for cancer patients, if that's what you want to see happen.
