Petition · past parliament

Urgently review the pensions tax for public sector workers.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The current pension tax is completely disincentivising frontline NHS staff, forcing them into early retirement or part time working. With Inflation the workforce will see massive tax bills and will be unable to pay these.
This pension tax is completely counterproductive and I believe reviewing this will incentivise many frontline NHS staff to work more, not less.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
