What the petition asks
Make Personal Development Sessions in School Optional instead of Mandatory
This allows Students to use this time to study for lessons and focus on their GCSEs or A-levels. This would make for a higher average grade nationally as students have more time to support themselves in their studies.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about whether to require students to take personal development sessions are a matter for individual schools, not the UK Government or Parliament.
