Provide funding to reduce NHS waiting times for cancer reconstruction surgery

What the petition asks
To provide additional funding to enable the NHS to reduce waiting times for cancer patients that require reconstruction surgery. This could be used to have to train new staff and increase theatre capacity, so cancer patients aren’t waiting months or years for their promised surgeries.
The NHS provides treatment, and the government funds the NHS. There needs to be more funding available for ensuring that reconstruction surgery for cancer patients is available to patients sooner rather than later.
Surgery being cancelled or delayed because of lack of staff or theatre capacity isn’t ok. This needs to be a priority service, funded better so surgery can go ahead in less than 6 months. Patients shouldn’t be waiting 2-3 years.
