Petition · past parliament
Hold a general election as soon as possible.

What the petition asks
Given the recent changes to the Conservative Party leadership and hence the Prime Minister, Parliament should be dissolved immediately and a general election called.
In a democratic society, the legitimacy of Parliament depends upon the electorate voting for the key office-holders. That is what is lacking in the UK today. The only option is a new general election.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
