Add a law so that when a prime minister resigns a general election is triggered

Rejected 13 signatures

What the petition asks

We want the law changed as to prevent the Tory governments from constantly changing their PMs each time they’re found to be incompetent.
The constant ineptitude of consecutive Tory prime ministers who are being thrown out by their own MPs shows that their party is not fit to rule, and a general election is needed so the people can choose who they want to govern them. We cannot allow 0.1% of the population to keep choosing our leaders, this is not how a democracy works.
