Increase Universal Credit and legacy benefits by £25 a week

What the petition asks
Due to the cost of living crisis people on benefits are struggling to afford everyday essentials. Not everyone on benefits can work and the Government is not providing enough support
The £20 uplift people had on Universal Credit was vital but was removed despite many calls to make it permanent.
Now that everything costs a lot more people on Universal Credit and on legacy benefits are struggling even more.
People who are unable for work have to pick between bills or food.
Many people on benefits are falling into debt and face the prospect of bailiffs.
I call for the Government to increase Universal Credit and legacy benefits by £25 extra every week effective immediately.
The DWP have a duty of care. Please remember that.
