Mandatory three-month prison sentence for damage to war memorials or statues

What the petition asks
We want the Government to make damaging war memorials or statutes a specific criminal offence, with a mandatory three-month prison sentence.
I feel that current offences and associated sentences do not go far enough, and this will ensure that people guilty of damaging war memorials or statutes face a suitable punishment.
It should also mean that those that do carry out these abhorrent acts will know they face a prison sentence if found guilty.
