Hold a referendum on whether to end annual clock changes

Closed 110 signatures

What the petition asks

We want the Government to put a vote to the public in a referendum on whether to end annual clock changes in March and October. If the public agrees to end this practice, when we return to British Summer Time in 2023, the clocks should be permanently changed and left that way.
Every year the clocks are changed twice resulting in disturbances to people's routines and sleep. Both adults and children can be left with sleep and productivity issues around the time of the change. We believe this is an outdated practice which is no longer necessary. In America an act was passed in March 2022 to stop the practice of changing of clocks twice a year and we think we should do the same. Let the public decide.
