Ban artificial synthetic fragrances in indoor public places & workplaces

Closed 415 signatures

What the petition asks

The Health Act of 2006, Part 1 Smoking, Chapter 1 Smoke-Free Premises Places and Vehicles sets out prohibitions on smoking. We want this section of the law to be extended to include room fragrance products that contain laboratory produced artificial synthetic fragrances, scents and parfums.
There are academic articles that have found that synthetic fragrances may be associated with certain health issues:

Some airports recommend routes through their airports for people who are hypersensitive to fragrances: https://www.finavia.fi/en/airports/helsinki-airport/airport/terminals/are-you-hypersensitive-to-fragrances
