Make driving lessons a part of the optional school curriculum
Rejected

What the petition asks
These will allow students that are choosing to begin to drive once they turn 17 and have a provisional driving licence will allow them to complete driving lessons funded by schools. This will help students to save their money for once their tests have been passed so they can buy their own vehicle.
This should not have to include motorbikes/quadbikes.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The decision on whether to offer driving lessons to students or not, is one for individual schools, and not a decision for the UK Government or Parliament.
You could start a new petition calling for funding to be made available specifically for driving lessons if this is something you would like to see happen.
