Make new provisions to compensate people who experience injury from healthcare

What the petition asks
I would like to request new arrangements are put in place to compensate people who experience negative consequences from healthcare, even where it cannot be shown that a health practitioner fell short of acceptable professional standards.
Individuals should be compensated for their injury, pain and suffering regardless of whether a practitioner acted negligently or not.
The focus should be placed on compensating the individual affected, and not fault, in order to ensure that those genuinely affected can receive appropriate redress as well as to reduce unnecessary costs and distress.
