Make it mandatory for everybody to learn CPR
Rejected

What the petition asks
Make it mandatory for everybody to learn how to do CPR, kids and adults should know how to do it.
Because it could potentially save lives of so many people!
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about whether adults learn CPR are a matter for individual adults, not the UK Government or Parliament.
How to administer CPR is already part of the health curriculum for secondary schools: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1090195/Relationships_Education_RSE_and_Health_Education.pdf
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to fund free CPR courses for all adults, but it would be up to individual adults whether to take this up.
