What the petition asks
We would like for the Government to increase the maximum Disabled Facilities Grant, currently £30,000 for England, in line with inflation, to help account for increased building costs.
Many disabled people, and parents of disabled children need to adapt their homes due to complex medical needs.
15 years ago the current £30,000 upper amount would have covered the cost of major adaptations to a home. However, with inflation, the cost of services and materials has increased drastically the maximum amount available needs to be increased accordingly. So people can have the quality of life they deserve.
