Introduce automatic comprehensive restraining orders for domestic abuse offences

What the petition asks
Currently, when someone is convicted of a domestic abuse offence, it is up to the courts whether to impose a restraining order, and any conditions attached. We want comprehensive restraining orders, prohibiting all actions that could cause distress to the victim, made automatic for these offences.
I am a domestic abuse survivor, and was granted lifetime restraining order prohibiting direct or indirect contact by my abuser.
I believe restraining orders that only prohibit direct and indirect contact are insufficient, and do not adequately recognise or protect victims who may have been psychologically and emotionally abused.
We want automatic restraining orders for anyone found guilty of a domestic abuse offence, which prohibit all actions that could cause distress to the victim. This should include:
- Any direct or indirect contact
- Posting any content on social media about the victim
- Do anything that could be viewed as intimidating
- Instructing or encouraging anyone else to do any of the above
