Require all builders and tradespersons to be regulated by a governing body who have the power to investigate complaints, enforce remedies including reimbursement to the consumer, and force financial penalties, demand retraining, and require that all trades abide by a code of practice.
Mandate that failure to complete work to standards set by building control will result in loss of their license.
Require all builders and tradespeople to have indemnity insurance to protect consumers from Rogue Traders shutting down leaving them unable to claim money back.
