What the petition asks
To put a ban on sewage dumping.
To put in harsher punishments for organisations who may ignore laws which are already in place
for the government to help clean rivers effected by the dumping of sewage or any substance which will effect the health of the river and its local ecosystem

We want the government to act on this as many of these organisations will not respond to local voices. By adding a punishment we can hopefully reduce the number of accidents.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
You may wish to sign this petition which calls for a similar action: Ban the release of any untreated raw sewage and separate rainwater from sewage
