What the petition asks
Dismiss any now and the future attempt to transfer the British Pound to being Central bank controlled digital Currency. Keep it in the format it is currently in with plastic and coined money. The public do not want to be using the CBDCs
I feel that the government be able to control the hard workers money in the form of CBDCs by using the Banks to do this. This style of currency will put the hard workers money at risk to the public and it will benefit the government as they'll be able to control people and revoke the public basic human rights
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
A CBDC would be a new form of money that would exist alongside cash and bank deposits, rather than replacing them.
