Increased Regulation of Migrant Applications - discussing placement with LAs

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

While the UK Residents struggle with the Cost of Living Crisis and pensioners struggling with hearing and food costs there has increase of Migrant Applications up by 435,000 since June 2022, to 1.1million the government needs to raise the criteria for immigration and discuss placement with LAs
I implore the government to place a hold on immigration, while they carry out a review of Immigration Policy whereby they should review:

- Criterion that gives migrants right to remain in the UK
- The rates/speed that applications are processes
- A minimum threshold to apply for immigration status (e.g Australia)
- Robust communications methods between Home Office and Local Authorities so that undue pressure is not placed on Local Services
- A timeline for migrants to integrate into communities

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you're concerned about existing immigration arrangements, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
