What the petition asks

Hidradenitis Suppurativa is a life long, painful skin condition causing abscesses and scarring of the skin. There is currently no treatment or cure available in the UK.
The cause of HS is unknown. It’s more common in women but is thought to effect at least 1 in 100 individuals. It’s thought that 1 in 3 people effected, are effected due to genetics and runs in families. The only thing available to help flare ups are antibiotics and if this doesn’t resolve the issue, ending up in hospital and having to have the abscess drained. It affects people both mentally and physically and is stopping people from the age of puberty and onwards from living a normal life.
