What the petition asks
I would like parliament to consider the issuance of a campaign medal to former Afghan Locally Employed Civilians who served HMG during our military campaign in their country.
Qualifying criteria should be 1) killed or injured or 2) 6 months or more service

More than 2,500 Afghans were employed by FCDO and MoD in our time in Afghanistan, many of whom have or are in the process of being relocated from their home country due to threats to their lives and those of their families.
In the same manner our serving personnel, civil servants and contractors are awarded campaign medals, our brave, dedicated and professional LEC’s also deserve metallic recognition of their service to our and their own country in extremely challenging circumstances.
