Change the law for nhs dental employment
Rejected

What the petition asks
To make it mandatory that the employer has to pay for the dental nurses gdc registration and training which is mandatory for the nurse to doing following their completion of their dental training. We are on minimum wages.
I have worked as a dental nurse for nearly 14 years and I’m on less money than a Mc Donald’s staff. I never get anything eg pay rise.. etc but as I say and I know I stand for 1000s of dental nurse working in the nhs field … the annual gdc subscription is mandatory for nurses and it costs around £106 every year and then another £40 for the online courses we have to do in order to stay registered with the gdc and keep our jobs.. which in turn is crucial to the employer.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This is a decision for individual employers.
