Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

Ban the use of E-Scooters on Public Roads and in Urban areas. These E-Scooters should only be allowed to legally operated in City Centres. No use should be allowed on public roads and out of the City Centre. The councils should put lives before profits.
There has a been a rise in accidents of children and teenagers while using E-Scooters on Public Roads. According to Department of Transport figures. There have been 12 UK E-Scooter related deaths in the year till June up from 4 in 2021. Three Times Higher compared to 2021. Also the amount of people injured while using E-Scooters has almost doubled over the last year. Up from 228 in 2021 to 429 in 2022 so far. Children are able to easily access an E-Scooter whenever they want.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We're not sure what you want covered by 'urban areas' because your petition also calls for scooters to be legal in city centres.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
