Equal rights for British Servicemen

Rejected 15 signatures

What the petition asks

I request parliament to provide equal rights for British Servicemen
Servicemen are constantly required to go above and beyond the call of duty, with negative effects for their welfare, health and families. When workers in the UK decide to go on strike, British Servicemen are often drafted in to uphold essential services. I want the Government to, in the spirit of fairness , to require these workers to provide the same level of coverage for the servicemen when they next want to go on leave or spend quality time with their families

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This is an operational and contractual decision for the parties involved.
