Secure children's antibiotic supply in response to current UK shortages
Rejected
11 signatures
What the petition asks
The government need to acknowledge the current children's antibiotic and medication shortages including syrup formulations of Penicillin, Amoxicillin, Clarithmericin to name a few, and secure supplies for every pharmacy. Pharmacies have little to no supplies and struggling to order any supplies.
With added pressures of Strep, Scarlet fever, Flu and Covid along with seasonal illnesses resources are stretched and we need the crisis acknowledged and an emergency plan in place to address it. Lobby to reduce prices of drugs, and create a linked up way of working between suppliers, Prescribers and Pharmacist's to ensure they have an update to the minute perspective on stock levels.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This is an operational matter for the NHS
