Create legal requirements for HR staff to report suspected offences

What the petition asks
We believe too many workers do not get adequate support from Human Resources staff, and that legislative change is needed to ensure that HR staff report suspected offences that take place in the workplace to the police.
Make it a legal requirement for Human Resources staff to report any suspected criminal activity / civil offences within their company to the police. Failure to disclose details of any suspected offences should be made an offence, with the potential for criminal charges.
These arrangements could reflect requirements for accountants to report transactions where there is a suspicion of money laundering.
