Do not deduct Carer's Allowance from Universal Credit

What the petition asks
With beds filling up hospitals and being blocked due to social care being underfunded and full to capacity, the Government should do more to support unpaid carer's, by ending deductions from Universal Credit for Carer's Allowance. Taking in a family member to support and care for could free up beds.
Unpaid carers often need to reduce the amount they work to provide care, but then have their Carer's Allowance taken off their Universal Credit claim, making them worse off.
Ending deductions of the £69.70pw Carer's Allowance could help ensure the heating can be on, ensure good nutritional food can be served, transport and parking can be paid to assist with appointments, helping to free up the NHS and social care settings.
