Stop vaping products targeted at children.

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

Confront the producers of vaping products and stop them from marketing their products to target children and young people by advertising flavours and packaging designs that appeal to non-smoking children. Make producers change to plain packaging, with health warning like cigarettes. Must have age ID
Many children, as young as 12-13 years, are attracted to vaping, when ordinarily they would not have considered smoking cigarettes. Vaping products, including those illegal in the UK, seem to be readily available. My local garage has brightly coloured vaping products in a basket for £2.00. Vaping is a pandemic, the medium- and long-term effects of which, are yet to be known

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

We have published the following petition, which you might like to sign:

Tighter restrictions on companies marketing vape kits at children & young people: Tighter restrictions on companies marketing vape kits at children & young people

It is already illegal to sell vaping products to anyone aged under 18 and to buy vaping products for anyone under 18, and retailers are expected to check ID to ensure that they comply with this.
