Extend Maternity leave to full pay for 12 months when working

What the petition asks
When a woman is working in full or part-time work they should receive 100% of their wage for 12 months whilst on maternity leave
I feel woman are penalised for having a baby. Why should wages go down and we have to struggle just because we have had a baby. The cost of living is so high and this puts added pressure on parents as some will have to claim benefits. We should receive 100% of wages for 12 months and return to work, should we wish.
