I believe in democracy in Britain and democracy is to follow general opinion of the general majority of the public.
And I believe the majority of the British public would agree that cannabis being illegal is a waist of police time, money and a terrible toll on the person who will receive a criminal record basically limiting one’s life over smoking a popular and not overly harmful drug when compared to other drugs such as alcohol or tobacco witch are much worst on the human body.
