Ban animal dissection in schools and colleges

Closed 379 signatures

What the petition asks

We believe dissection in schools/colleges is an outdated procedure, instils a view that animal life is expendable, and does not translate to humans in any scientifically valid way.
Other innovated educational methods such as sophisticated computer software can be used to teach anatomy and complex biological processes. We believe these methods would be more efficient and is cost effective.

We want students to be taught about state-of-the-art science directly relevant to humans, such as human organs-on-chips and gene-based medicine, not to be dissecting animals.
